We started the morning opening new toys!
What's a better way to start your birthday?!?
While Lucy took her morning nap, Denny and I transformed our house into Birthday Party Central!
I had a blast planning an Olivia themed birthday party for Lucy! This is one of the first books Lucy has truly enjoyed reading and requests to read often. So I decided Olivia would be the perfect theme for her 1st Birthday! I had fun including Olivia in every detail!

Guests started to arrive just as Lucy awoke from her nap. Mimi and Papa were the first to arrive!
"Aunt" Laura and "Uncle" Canon joined us too!
The whole Ehrmin gang joined us as well, included sweet cousin, Grace!
The Burrow gang didn't want to miss the fun either!
Especially cousin, Ellie! She LOVES Lucy so much! (Her new toys aren't bad either ;))
Everyone was so generous with Lucy and our family room was filled with gifts!
Lucy even helped me dig into the big pile of presents!
But only for a minute because she spotted her PINK CHAIR!

But then it was cake time... (I'll let this series of pictures tell the story.)
Oh Lucy! I promise not to make a cupcake as big as your head, EVER AGAIN!

We all enjoyed spending the day with you!
We are blessed to have had such a special year with Lucy! We are one lucky family.

What a wonderful birthday party! Mimi wanted that cupcake as big as Lucy's head. :) Yummy.
How is the new kitchen table working out? We must be on the hunt for chairs.
