A Quick Catch-Up!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately. We've been very busy around here. Lucy is doing great and has had a good start to the school year with Megan. My class is GREAT this year and it makes going to work each day a joy! Denny's work is going well, busy, but good!

I'm going to attempt to do a catch-up through photos. I found these photos on my small camera this evening and thought they'd do a nice job sharing our recent adventures!

#1. Buckeye Season! Despite the team this year(ouch!) we've been decked out in our scarlet and grey lately.


#2. Denny got to go to a game with a friend and had amazing seats...




#3. Denny and I also got to go to a game together this year. We had top row seats, not kidding, TOP ROW! But the weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed the day together.

She looks so big now-a-days. It breaks my heart a bit!


#5. Ehrmin's visit


These pictures are long over-due but we enjoyed a visit from the Ehrmin's last month...

#7. New video monitor!
We have grown to LOVE this new monitor and for good reason. Our dare-devil has crawled out of her crib twice so far.(That's a whole other post...) So the peace and mind of using this monitor to see her safe in the crib is worth a million dollars!

Perrysburg Visit!

Last weekend we were in Perrysburg to visit family and celebrate Ellie and Stacy's birthdays!

We enjoyed Harrison Rally Days. The girls were just too cute all lined up for the parade!

You loved Lucy the minute you laid eyes on her and the feeling was mutual. Here is the first minute you saw Lucy in the hospital.


Lucy adores you and every single thing you do. She looks up to you and thinks your are the coolest, bravest, best cousin in the world. We hope you have a Happy HAPPY Birthday!

19 Months Old!

I have to say this age is one of my very favorites so far with Lucy. She is just bursting with personality and it is wonderful to watch her figure out the world around her. Every day is a new adventure!

Lucy, you are growing up WAY too fast. I cherish the few "baby" moments you still offer me but also love watching you discover toddlerhood. You are the joy of our lives!

My favorite moment was just last week after a trip to Target. It was getting close to nap time, so Lucy and I were singing together on the way home and suddenly I noticed she got quiet. (singing=do not let baby fall asleep in the car.) If I stopped singing though she would sign "more" and say "mo" until I started singing again. When we pulled in the garage and I got her out of her carseat she said "looov Mommy" and hugged me. Then she closed her eyes and cuddled on my shoulder. It was a good 2 minutes before she moved. I seriously thought she had fallen asleep on my shoulder. It was the sweetest, most baby-like moment I've had with her in awhile and I cherished every second.

And even better....tonight when I rocked you before bed, you laid on my shoulder and asked for "books." We read Goodnight Moon 4 times and then I rocked you and sang "Hush Little Baby." You wanted me to sing it over and over again while you rested on my chest. You were my little baby for a little bit tonight and I loved EVERY second of it!

Labor Day Weekend!

We enjoyed spending Labor Day weekend with the Ehrmin's. Rainy weather changed our plans to attend the fun BBQ, Bluegrass, and Boom at Dawes on Sunday but we still had a great weekend. Monday we were in German Village checking out Megan and Tim's new apartment and went to Shiller Park. (The same park where Lucy had her 6 month photos taken.) Lucy and Grace loved playing on the cool, fall day!


Oh, and by the way....someone is officially a toddler. Seriously, who is this big girl? :(

Who can go down the slide all on her own!


She would climb up the stairs, walk to the top of the slide, sit down and scoot to the top of the slide...


And she would find Daddy waiting at the bottom each time!


Grandma and Grandpa even let her try the BIG slide!


She thought she was pretty cool stuff.


"I'm so cool....watch this......."


Yes, my heart dropped when she decided she would stand up, count to three, and jump off.

She quickly would look around to see who saw how sweet her new trick was...
