Preparing For Christmas!

One of our favorite traditions to prepare for Christmas is decorating sugar cookies together at Mimi's!  Julia, Mom, and I have done this for years!  We bake and decorate into the wee hours of the morning and have a total blast.

This year we started the night at Stella's for dinner.  It was a treat to go with just Papa, Mom, and Jay.  Denny was at the Ehrmin's with the kids.  We had a blast!

Christmas Morning!

Santa came to our house on December 20th this year!  It worked for a family and provided us a long, calm weekend to enjoy the magic of Christmas.  (We traveled to Perrysburg for Christmas Eve and Christmas another year, not sure if we always will, but it seemed to work again this year.)  Lucy and Eddie were so excited for Santa to come!

We baked cookies, wrote a note to Santa, and counted a carrot for each reindeer.  After reading books by the fire and squealing in excitement Lucy and Eddie finally went to bed!

We all awoke around 7:00 to see that SANTA HAD COME!






Lucy's favorite gifts this year --- Frozen Castle, Frozen Barbie dolls, new tutu, and Elsa costume!
Eddie's favorite gifts this year --- remote control car, legos, Matchbox race track, and magnetic building blocks!

We ended the fun with a scavenger hunt around the house to find the last gift.....A TRAMPOLINE in the basement!

Preparing for Christmas

We had a wonderful month of December!  Decorating, baking and more!










My favorite holiday decoration this year is the "Christmas Card display" I made.  The first card is from December 2009 when I was pregnant with Lucy!


Gifts arriving from the Peshke's in Florida was the real beginning of Christmas.  Santa visited our house on December 20th this year!



There is something so magic about Christmas through a child's eye.

"Christmas Village" at Little Village!

Denny had to travel to LA for a week because Nationwide was filming a commercial for the Super Bowl!  We survived while he was away but it wasn't fun and kids really missed him!

While he was away there was a special "Christmas Village" at the kids school.  Beba and DeeDee, Stacy, Grace, and Ethan all came to enjoy the special day.





Lucy's Pre-K class put on a HOLIDAY SHOW!  She knew every word and every movement.  We are proud of you, Lucy!

Santa Clause is Coming To Town!

The first weekend in December, Santa Clause comes to Granville atop the firetruck!
