TGIF!

Lucy and I just got back from her very first stroller ride around the neighborhood! She loved it and slept the entire way! While it is only 40 degrees today, it feels like 65 because it is such a drastic change from the recent cold, snowy weather. It is suppose to be sunny and in the high 40's all weekend! Denny and I do not have any big plans for the weekend and I think we will take lots of walks!

Here are a few pictures from the past two days! Lucy and I spend many hours playing together on our bed. I just can't get enough of my baby girl…

Lucy is definitely my new alarm clock, although last night was an amazing night! Lucy napped on Daddy from 10:30-12:00am. Then nursed and slept in the co-sleeper from 12:00-1:30am (success!) Then nursed and slept with Mommy from 2:00-4:30am. Then nursed again and slept in the co-sleeper from 5:00-7:00am (success!!!) Then nursed and slept with Mommy from 7:30-9:30am! It was a great night, no crying, and a happy sleeping baby (and Mommy and Daddy!) We hope this is a new trend!

Changes...

In the past 30 days our baby has changed so much. No one could have ever prepared me for how extremely challenging those first days with a newborn would be. The extreme lack of sleep and proper eating, on-going pain, my milk not coming in right away, the hormone roller coaster ride, and the simply overwhelming feeling of caring for a newborn could never ever be accurately described to a soon-to-be mother. But nor can the cuddly, teeny, tiny, sweet-smelling, loving, warm, cozy, absolutely perfect newborn that will be in your arms needing you every single minute of the day. I already miss my newborn baby girl!

Our little 6 pound newborn is now almost an 8 pound(I'm guessing on this) one month old! She is holding her head up, pushing off my chest, gazing right into my eyes, kicking her legs, looking around the room, smiling when sleeping and right at me when I make really, really, really obnoxious voices! Our little newborn Lucy is changing every single minute, of every single day. It is happening so fast that it seems like she is a different little girl each day!

Enjoy some pictures (Thanks to Julia and Craig) of Lucy holding up her little head. She is getting so strong! And those stunning blue eyes….we are still waiting to see if they change color?!?

Frances' 26th Birthday and Lucy's first trip to Perrysburg!

This past weekend we took Lucy on her very first long car ride. She slept peacefully the entire car ride, over 2 hours, both ways! We went to Perrysburg for the weekend to celebrate my 26th birthday with our families! We had a wonderful weekend spending time with both families. Lucy was spoiled ALL weekend being held and playing with her aunts, uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents!

Saturday we celebrated with the Ehrmin's! We had a fabulous dinner and delicious cake!

Sunday my parents threw me a "Birthday Party/Meet Lucy Party" and invited Lucy's great-grandparents and great-aunt Mimi over! Lucy was very excited to meet her great-grandparents and loved being held all day long! Mimi made me one of my favorite meals, Turkey Tetrazzini, and homemade pink cupcakes and brownies! YUM!

Baby Einstein Play Gym

Lucy has begun to enjoy tummy time and playing in her Baby Einstein Play Gym. She loves to look at all the colors and listen to the music. Today she laid happily in the play gym, kicking her little legs and stretching her arms, while I put away her clean clothes. I can't believe how independent she is getting. Her favorite animal to look at is the penguin!
