Lucy must take after her Papa in her love for ice cream!


Every evening, or whenever we are outside, she suggests, "Let's go uptown to get some Whit's!"

She proudly walks in, helps us order, and smiles ear-to-ear!



She can successfully finish off a bowl of chocolate custard!

Mimi and Papa visit

Mimi and Papa came to Granville...the kids were so excited to spend time with them!

We had beautiful weather when they were in town so we took a walk uptown for dinner and ice cream to celebrate Eddie's birthday (a little early!)

Eddie was so glad Mimi and Papa came to visit!  He hopes they are back again soon.

Mommy and Daddy love you so much.  You are full of energy, love, and imagination each and every day.  You are growing into a little girl right before our very eyes. The toddler years have passed.  Your questions never end, as you work to figure out the world around us.
You love your little brother so much and often refer to him as "your best friend!"  We pray this friendship remains and you always lookout for him.  Sharing food with him is your favorite thing right now.  He will squeal in delight and always ask for more. It cracks you up and you find joy in his happiness!


You love to sing, dance, and play!



This maxi dress is your favorite dress in the entire world.  You want to wear it everyday and most days I agree.  You are one beautiful and determined little girl.

And we love to watch you and your amazing spirit.

Friend's Birthday Party

It was a chilly spring day, but we wouldn't miss Lucy Johnson's 3rd Birthday Party! (At one point during the party I think snowflakes fell from the sky.)

We met Lucy as a brand-new baby at St. Ann's Breastfeeding Support Group and thought it was funny we both had named our daughters "Lucy."  Lucy and her mom, Erin, live in Westerville and it always fun to see them!

This winter coat stinks!

Meeting the Easter Bunny

The Granville Mill hosted the Easter Bunny in April. We were excited to take Lucy and Eddie to meet the man of the season.  Lucy talked about it for days but when we got there she didn't want too close.  Eddie, on the other hand, wanted to to get close and check that guy out!


HAHAHA!  It was just too cute.

She wanted to take one home and I agreed with her.  They are so darn cute!

11 Months Old

It is hard to believe that you are almost 1 year old!

Happy 11 Months!

You are so independent now and really enjoy getting around.  You are crawling, very fast. Standing up along furniture and new this month, standing up all on your own.  You love to squeal in delight when you do a new trick and get everyone's attention!

We love how you cautiously think about each move.


You love the Potterybarn Kids chairs and think you are pretty sweet when you climb on it.


You still adore all foods.  Your favorite are yogurt, pancakes, cream cheese bagels, grapes, and toast.  You are beginning to sign "more" and "all done" when eating.  You love to clap for yourself when we cheer.  And you have officially mastered the HI wave and BYE wave on command!
